The effects of testoterone(TS) and Estradiol-17B(E2-17B) infusion on the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis and also, both testosterone and Estrogen`s negative feedback mechanisms were studied in intact rats. At 1 hour and 6 hours after testosterone infusion, the serum testosterone levels were increased, and the serum LH level at 1 and 2 hours after testosterone infusion were decreased, but at 3 hours after infusion they were increased. The serum estradiol-17B levels were significantly increased at one hours after its infusion, but after 6 hours, it was decreased, and the serum LH levels after 1 and 2 hours were decreased but after 3 hours, it was increased. The serum LH levels was increased and decreased as the results of negative feedback mechanism of testosterone and estradiol-17-B.
